Alan "Jax"  Bowers
       Alan “Jax “ Bowers has been playing drums since the age of ten.  Now Thirty-three years old,
his love for creating music is stronger than ever.  He has studied with great players Karl Latham
(Fantasy Band), Frank Katz (Brand-X), and the staff at Drummers Collective in New York City.
Aside from being a songwriter and producer, Alan has worked with many artists in a multitude of
sessions playing drum kit, percussion, and playing/programming loops.  "I always strive to be as musical
as I can, to listen to everything, to play the song, not just the drums."  
Over the last few years Alan has been playing with some of his friends from Jimmy Buffett's Coral
Reefer Band and Club Trini, Mac McAnally, Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge, Jim Mayer,
Doyle Grisham, Tom Mitchel, Greg "Fingers" Taylor,  and Tina Gullickson.  
Moving Company is new fairly new live jam band project for Alan including the talents of Timmy
Roberts, Mike Vantine, and Real Ron. MC is heading to Nashville to record a record with famed
producer Shane Keister in the summer.
Alan is also doing some fill-in work with Stars Productions Urban Trip (urbantripband.com).
Alan spent the last two years playing all over the country with singer-songwriter John Frinzi. The
former Frinzi band  had joined Jimmy Buffett and company on stage in Key West for the Meeting of
the Minds in 2004 and 2005.
In 2004, Alan was gigging, writing, and recording with Sidewards recording artists Swampadelica
(swampadelica.com), a New Jersey based jam band featured on MTVs The Real World.
From 2000 to 2004, Alan was touring with Parrotville (parrotvillelive.com).  Now known as
Parrotbeach, this national Jimmy Buffett tribute act had him playing drums and percussion and also
showcased his vocal range.
Alan plays GMS drums, DW drums and pedals, Pearl snare drums, Zildjian cymbals and drumsticks,
Evans drumheads, Remo world percussion, and Roland electronics.
